Industry: Plant Rental and Maintenance 

Problem: To consolidate maintenance, tracking, equipment, billing invoicing and calendaring all under one unified management umbrella and provide a totally integrated Enterprise Rental, Sales and Service Solution for the rental industry

Solution: We needed to simplify the business operation by eliminating multiple disparate systems.

We assessed where the assets are located, what their availability for rental or sale are and when they could be scheduled for delivery or pickup. The system provides instant access to this vital information, simplifies day-to-day operations, improves customer service, and drives more revenue using an ERP Navision based solution with a vertical specific add-on module named called EQM.
 
The overall efficiency of the company organization increases because the employees have the tools they need to respond quickly to problems, using a fully integrated system, which can manage capital equipment at the levels of sales and receivables, purchases and payables, fixed assets and service and service management. The web based nature of the system allows problems to be prevented before they occur. 


Industry: General Business - Order Entry and Costing

Problem: Many small to medium sized businesses use accounting packages which lack functionality on manufacturing and distribution levels. Most businesses are required to create detailed quotes and process orders with ease , as well as tracking production progress. Since a traditional ERP system is too expensive to install and implement, they require a support system which fulfills all order entry and billing needs at an affordable cost.

Solution: We developed a sales and costing database using Microsoft Access, which consists of two basic modules-One dealing with quotations and sales and the other responsible for costing and tracking of production.

The use of this software resulted in ease and speed of the quotation process, which can then be converted into orders and jobs. The cost of production, including raw materials and hours required can be estimated and then used as a basis for payroll systems. Business procedural reporting also comes as a standard feature. 


Industry: Engineering - Project Tracking

Problem: Multiple contractors involved in the manufacture of components for a central plant provide problems for project managers trying to track the level of progress, location of individual constituents and co-ordination of delivery to central site within required erection schedule.

Solution: Custom based development of database application which has a central database at project manager’s office and distributed satellite databases running at subcontractors. Electronic transmission of data between central office and subcontractors, using Excel and email, while tracking locations and production status. Enforcement of standards for documentation from subcontractors is instituted. The system is also fully CAD integrated. 


Industry: Manufacturing -Order Entry

Problem: Our client, a make-to-order manufacturer of compensators and pipe supports, needs to track enquiries and submit quotations as well as record basic job costings.

Solution: Custom development of database application which calculates quotes, using standard materials and labour. The application also tracks the quote status and success of quotations by area, product industry and sales representative, while tracking costs, work in progress and profit margin of each job.

Problem: Labour broker administrative team are unable to cope with recording and tracking of employment contracts, qualifications of employees, training undertaken, medical certificates and other aspects required when drawing from a sizeable pool of labour resources.
 
Solution: Custom developed database application, using Microsoft Navision which can adequately track and assess all personnel details, update any training undertaken and record the progress and requirements of each specific job specification.
